About speaker
I am an independent consultant and teacher at the University of Economics in Prague. I have more than ten years of experience in providing XML consultancy and training. My primary interest is in electronic publishing and documentation systems.
I am an active member of several standardization bodies, including OASIS (DocBook TC and RELAX NG TC), W3C (XSL WG, HTML WG and ITS WG) and ISO/IEC JTC1/SC34. I have written several books about Web technologies and many articles for developers. In my free time I'm contributing to the DocBook XSL open-source project and organizing the XML Prague conference.
Topic of talk
The talk briefly summarizes the basic options for working with XML in PHP5. Stress will be given to current PHP5 shortcomings which developers have to deal with when processing XML content in PHP5.
