Tom Krcha (1985) is part of Adobe Platform Evangelism team Europe and works with Flash for over a decade. Participated on many Flash Media streaming projects including CDNs, videochats, realtime multi-user applications, IPTV, award-winning websites, interactive multi-touch installations and P2P. His effort is to always bring new fresh air to place.

I came to SUN in 2007 and joined Wireless Toolkit Team. I worked on Linux version of Toolkit and after release of Wireless Toolkit 2.5.2 I focused mainly to features related to cooperation of Toolkit with real devices like direct debugging at device or redirection of output of application. These features are now implemented in JavaME SDK 3.0. My present position in Sun is JavaFX Mobile Technical Lead. Before Sun I worked in web development companies using Java.

Topic of talk
Let's come and look around at present state of RIA technologies and their future. What we can make with them, what we can't? What is the pros and cons. Are we looking to bright future of "animated web"? The main RIA leaders will come to share their visions. Microsoft with its Silverlight, Adobe and its Flash + Air, Sun with new JavaFX and Opera as a representant of Open Web technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, Canvas etc.
Please, prepare your questions with fair argumentation for each solution and warm the panelist's seats.
